So who is replacing Justin Bieber at Fusion Festival? Only Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran is stepping in as the headliner for the 2015 Fusion Festival after Justin Bieber suddenly had to cancel his appearance. Festival organizers announced on Thursday that Sheeran would perform in his place.
The “Thinking Out Loud” singer – whose second album “x” was the UK’s best-selling album of 2014, shifting over 1.7 million copies – will be joined by Tinie Tempah, Rixton, DJ Fresh, Fuse ODG, Aston Merrygold, Shift K3y and Luke Friend when he headlines the first day of the three-day event on Friday August 28. The concert benefits the Prince’s Trust youth charity.
He later added: “I’m delighted to be playing Fusion Festival after stepping in at the last minute to help out the guys at Fusion and support The Princes Trust”.
Upon his cancelation, Bieber apologized to his United Kingdom, fans and promised to make it up to them. The singer tweeted his fans to tell them the news and apologised for not being able to attend.
Bieber had said he could no longer perform at Fusion due to “unforeseen circumstances” although the popstar has been nominated for an MTV VMA in the US on August 30.
Due to an “unforeseen issue” Bieber was forced to pull out of headlining the festival, which supports the Prince’s Trust, at the end of the month. Bieber said his go-to karaoke song is “Let It Be” by the Beatles. I will see u soon UK.
And although the reformed bad-boy has been caught short with his touring plans, he is still hard at work on the promotional trail for his next single, What Do You Mean?
