Ben Affleck’s ‘Accountant’ Pushed to October 2016
The studio must like the way that film has turned out too much to bury it in January.
This is the second delay for Live by Night, which Affleck was writing and directing, as it’s moved to sometime in 2017 from October 2016, although Affleck had already cast Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana and Elle Fanning for the Boston-set period piece based on Dennis Lehane’s novel.
The Accountant and Live by the Night have both had significant changes made to their opening dates.
Ben Affleck will reportedly become the center of Warner Bros.’s DC Cinematic Universe following “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice”.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – Official Synopsis: Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. WB’s head honchos are reportedly so impressed that they are trying to sign Affleck to a three picture deal for solo Batman flicks (Affleck will co-write, star and direct in 2018’s “The Batman”).
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has a United States release date of March 25, 2016. But seeing as how Batman is, well, Batman, we wouldn’t be surprised if there was some truth to the story.
