Bobby Brown on Bobbi Kristina’s Death: “I Am Completely Numb”
Singer Bobby adds, “Krissy was and is an angel”. News Monday. “My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honour her memory”.
We imagine this must be an incredibly tough time for everyone involved, and our hearts are with Bobbi Kristina’s loved ones, and everyone affected by this tragic loss.
Today, her father Bobby Brown, 46, opened up about his daughter’s death, thanking everyone who supported Bobbi Kristina throughout this hard year.
As Radar previously reported, Bobbi Kristina’s aunt Pat Houston revealed that as the family read from the Bible, she took her last breath on Sunday, surrounded by friends and family.
The Brown and Houston family released separate statements following news of the young woman’s death. Brown has had several encounters with the law including recent DUIs and was periodically addicted to cocaine, crack and heroin.
The initial autopsy results are in, and according to Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, there are no signs of significant injuries.
“Interpretation of autopsy findings and other information will also be challenging”, the medical examiner’s office tells the AP. She never regained consciousness.
Brown’s death came three years after her Grammy-winning mother, who had battled substance abuse, drowned in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel at age 48.
Ms Brown was treated in hospital twice for anxiety after her mother died.
In a separate statement, Brown’s lawyer said Bobbi Kristina “fought to get well for months, however she has succumbed to her injuries”.
Efforts to wean Brown from the medication led to seizures and she was once again placed in a coma.
Bobby Brown’s remarks Monday were his first since his troubled daughter’s passing.
The family posted a photo of Houston with Bobbi Kristina as a baby on whitneyhouston.com with the following message: “It is hard to say goodbye”.
