One can call it one of the best movies of the season. It is not only a film that features apes running amok. It is an action packed drama which is fully loaded with the gripping suspense and definitely intelligence. You will definitely get the hundred per cent committed performances, especially from Andy Serkis. The actor who is doing stop motion work as an ape named Caesar.
In Dawn of the planet of the Apes, the viewers can categorize the performances easily. They focused more on the issues using a unique sign language having the capability of communicating with humans via erudite English. The movie is not about good versus evil and the actors succeeded in portraying this. The climax guarantees anther sequel.
Great performances, great direction, lovely special effects- all are superb. The movie deserves to be loved by the viewers.
A Few Words about the Predecessors of the Movie
Planet of the Apes (1968): it is the original classic that featured one of the most dreadful twists in the cinematic history.
Beneath the Planet of the Apes released in 1970 and it has seen its follower Escape from the Planet of the Apes 1971 releasing in 1971. But both these are not so memorable movies of their times.
Movie watchers found Conquest of the Planet of the Apes released in 1972, and they also seen the release of Battle for the Planet of the Apes in 1973. But alike their two predecessors these two movies on apes were also not gained the standard of classics.
