Di Maria joins Paris St Germain from Manchester United
Argentina winger Angel Di Maria said he is “delighted” to be joining French champions Paris-Saint Germain in an interview screened on BeIn Sports on Wednesday.
“Di Maria wrote an open letter to United fans to explain himself after coming under fierce criticism for the way he has been perceived to have given up on the club”.
Di Maria had his medical in Doha, where Paris Saint-Germain’s owners are based.

But he only scored four goals in 32 games for United, failing to find the net in the Premier League after October, and lost his place in manager Louis van Gaal’s preferred side after he was sent off in March’s FA Cup defeat to Arsenal.
PSG fans will have to wait for his debut, however, with Di Maria behind in his pre-season preparations after coming away from the Copa America in Chile last month with a thigh injury.
The former Real Madrid star said his goal was to bring more than just domestic glory to last year’s French treble-winners.
Now that Di Maria is with Paris St. Germain, he can put his flop with the Red Devils behind him.
“There is nothing on Pedro“.
“However, in the career of a football player, sometimes the unexpected and unwanted may happen. To win the six competitions (we are in), we need the best players and Pedro is one of them”.
The Argentine winger finally completed his move to Paris St germanon Thursdy after nightmare first year at old Trafford.
PSG lost out to United last season because of Financial Fair Play restrictions that have since been eased. He was quickly dubbed “The Blind Venetian” after a costly gaffe against Southampton.
With no love lost between the Argentina worldwide and Premier League giants, the player was happy to sign for Ligue 1 champions who are looking to make a strong push for Champions League this season. It would turn out to be a woeful failure, and Bebe left for Benfica in 2014 having barely played for United.
