McDonald’s tests table delivery overseas
McDonald’s is offering its customer table service in an attempt to stimulate consumer interest following a drop in sales revenue.
IT’S KNOWN for its express tills and drive thru services, but now the fast food chain McDonald’s is entering the slow lane.
McDonald’s table service is already in place in branches in France, Germany and Australia.
There’s a trial at one of the restaurants in Manchester, where customers will choose a seat and then, with the help of a fixed tablet gadget, will put their order in and then wait for someone to bring them their food and drinks. It hopes to roll out the service to 11 more restaurants in Britain in the future.

“We have listened to customer feedback, and to meet their evolving expectations, we are significantly investing in our restaurants to create an exciting, new environment and improve the customer experience”, McDonald’s representatives said in a statement to Mashable.
McDonald’s is struggling to transform itself as it experiences a marked decline in sales and profits.
