Donald Trump slams ‘not very good or professional’ presidential candidacy

Influential Conservative columnist and blogger Erick Erickson has now disinvited Donald Trump from the annual RedState Gathering, after comments made by the billionaire Republican presidential candidate during a CNN interview Friday night.

Trump said Kelly, who moderated Thursday’s GOP debate, had “blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever”. It just was wrong. “To them Mr. Trump says, ‘We will catch you at another time soon”, his statement concluded.

Kelly’s lengthy question included more examples of Trump being uncivil, and she concluded with: “How will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton, who is likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the war on women?”

Trump denied Saturday that his comment on Kelly was a reference to menstruation, writing in a tweet that he was attempting to refer to Kelly’s nose – a point on which his campaign also insisted.

After the debate, the GOP hopeful said the questions he faced from debate moderators were “not nice.” Trump then turned to Twitter to blast Kelly and pollster Frank Luntz whose focus group showed that the outspoken businessman lost support. Bush, former governor of Florida, said the tough questions at the debate were nothing compared to the challenges the next president will face. Trump told her: “And honestly Megyn, if you don’t like it, I’m sorry”, Trump said.

That was too much for RedState’s Erickson, who posted this just before midnight Friday: “I have tried to give a great deal of latitude to Donald Trump in his run for the Presidency”.

“Only Rosie O’Donnell”, Trump quipped – which was met with laughter.

Trump has a long history of lobbing insults at those he feels have treated him unfairly, and advises those who buy his books to do the same.

Erickson fired back on Twitter saying that Trump “confuses political correctness and common decency”.

O’Donnell told the Daily Mail, “Probably the Trump stuff was the most bullying I ever experienced in my life, including as a child”.
