Faith in Humanity: Father gets tattoo that looks like daughter’s hearing implant
Many have applauded Campbell’s decision to get a tattoo for his daughter.
When his daughter went in for her second cochlear implant, a New Zealand man decided she shouldn’t be the only one in the family with something different above her ear. He received his first tattoo, an image that matches his daughter’s cochlear implant, The Telegraph reported.
Alistair Campbell of Taupo debuted the tattoo on Monday, and has since gained the attention of people worldwide who were moved by the supportive gesture.
‘She wouldn’t talk to anybody to pretty much a social butterfly, ‘ Anita said.
Speaking to the Stuff.co.nz Charlotte’s parents explained how the implant has changed her life.
This New Zealand father may actually be the best dad in the world.
He’d shave it off again and show off the tattoo at “special occasions”, or if Charlotte wanted to see it.
As for Charlotte, she found it cool and even cheked the other side of her father’s head for a second implant. Now, she is “the life of the party”.
The Lad Bible tweeted out a photo of Campbell’s tattoo on August 5.
Hearing House fundraising and communications manager Mary Jane Boland said she was also amazed at the response to the picture.
“Without the cochlear implant, she wouldn’t be able to hear at all”, she said.
