Driver caught taking SHEEP on a trip to McDonald’s
Police in the UK came across a problem of the woolly kind recently when they stopped a auto on suspicion of having bald tyres but found it also had a sheep in the boot.
North Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Group have released the photo of the offending Peugeot 206 complete with the unusual passenger.
When questioned why he was travelling with the animal in a family hatchback the motorist explained that he had taken it to a nearby McDonald’s restaurant for a meal.
Police who stopped a motorist were stunned to discover a sheep in the boot of the vehicle – which the driver claimed he had taken to McDonald’s for treat.
The man told officers he had just been to the McDonalds drive-through at Leeming Bar, near Catterick.
“People do some odd things that they think are perfectly normal”.
We wonder what the sheep ordered?
The driver was totally unfazed by the police reaction and appeared to think there was nothing odd about driving to a takeaway with an ovine companion.
“He seemed fine to be honest – although he obviously felt a little sheepish when we pointed out the two bald tires”, Chris Marlow, one of the officers, told the Echo, earning a round of applause from pun lovers everywhere. Take a hint, sheep.
