Patriots Training Camp Attendance: LeGarrette Blount Leaves Practice With Injury
LeGarrette Blount left Friday’s practice early after suffering a right leg injury.
A report suggests that New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount will miss the rest of his side’s pre-season due to suffering an MCL sprain during practice. No tear, no ACL damage.
The degree of the sprain isn’t known, but a source told Young that Blount will be ready for the start of the season.
The injuries are growing during New England Patriots training camp. With Blount apparently out for all of the preseason, Gray has a chance to prove that he deserves more opportunities in 2015.
Considering Belichick’s plug-and-play approach with running backs, Blount’s loss isn’t likely to make a big difference for the Patriot offense, especially if it’s just for training camp. If that’s the case, the third-down back or “Shane Vereen Role” is all but won for James White.
