Rex Ryan competes in Dog Biscuit Challenge
So Ryan, who has frequently filtered food references into his press conference as well as talking about his lap-band surgery, ate a dog biscuit as part of the challenge.
Though Ryan is top dog on the field, Terry Pegula is his boss.
The challenge was created to help raise awareness for the Erie County SPCA and their upcoming “Paws in the Park” program.
Reading from prepared text, Ryan explained why he snacked on a dog biscuit.
The SPCA, founded in 1867, is the second oldest humane society in America and assists over 12,000 animals a year, performing rescues every single day. “Give me one of them small biscuits though”.
“Here we go. I’ve got the milkbone, ” Ryan said. “I’m going get one more, I think”.
Ryan took a break from camp to respond to the challenge, a fundraiser for the SPCA serving Erie County.
And, with that, Bills Owner Terry Pegula popped a dog treat into his mouth and issued his own challenge to Bills Defensive Tackle Marcell Dareus. On Thursday, he continued to live up to that name, but this time it was in the name of a good cause. He’s not that healthy, but we have to move on.
Ryan said, “He will play this season, but when he’s going to be available, I’m not real sure”.
