Karachi Op: Rangers arrested 10353 criminals including 826 terrorists since 2013
According to details, Sindh government extended the requisition of Rangers in Sindh.
As many as 1,030 jawans passed out after successfully completing their training.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has approved special powers for Rangers for the next 120 days in accordance with Anti-Terrorism Act, CM’s spokesman said. “We shall spare no effort to achieve these targets”.
The Corps commander was accompanied by Rangers Director General Maj Gen Bilal Akbar, who had earlier welcomed him at the ceremony. The objective of the targeted operation is to eliminate terrorism; their facilitators and funds providers and the security forces of the country would leave no stone unturned to achieve this goal.
He also appealed to the people that as part of their social responsibility they should keep a vigilant eye on happenings around them and in case of any unusual activity they should inform the concerned organizations.
The corps commander said that the Rangers was a commendable institution which was evident from its outstanding performance.
According to the rangers sources, the decision to launch FM radio has been taken up keeping in view the overall situation in the megacity. Senior officers of Rangers, Sindh, were also present on the occasion.
