Deadshot to replace Wolverine in Collateral Beauty
The word is Will Smith is now replacing Hugh Jackman in Collateral Beauty, a movie that follows a New York advertising exec that suffers a personal tragedy, and his colleagues attempt to break him out of his depression in an unconventional way.
Hollywood star Will Smith has been tapped to join “Collateral Beauty” after Hugh Jackman left the project. “Collateral Beauty“, which is set to hit the theaters some point next year, originally supposes to cast Hugh Jackman and Rooney Mara on screen together has gone some major casting changes.
On the other hand, Smith was not the first one to be reported as Jackman’s replacement for the lead role.
Smith will be joining Mara in the film as the actress is still in on the project as the lead female. Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment is producing alongside Anonymous Content, PalmStar and Likely Story. The project will be directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (also behind next month’s much hyped Me, Earl & The Dying Girl) and is based on a screenplay by Allan Loeb (Just Go With It).
Overbrook Entertainment will co-produce alongside Anonymous Content, PalmStar and Likely Story, who have decided to pay a sum of $2.25 million for the script that comes from writer Allan Loeb, who has mixed results on the big screen. Pictures’ adaptation of “Suicide Squad” which is set to be released on August 5, 2016. He recently starred in “Focus” and will next be seen in NFL drama “Concussion“.
