Jesus quenches our thirst for God

He and his wife of 52 years now make their home in Myrtle Beach and have established a Bible Story Cafe in their community that meets weekly to study and discuss the 60 chronological stories and their application to present day living. We must “man up” “face up” lean on God but certainly don’t be one of those extremists who accesses the power, miracles and love of God – who actually believes and acts upon it.

“What if a person had physical disabilities that hindered their understanding of God?” Before C.S. Lewis came to know Jesus personally, he felt that the Bible’s command to praise God was akin to an old woman seeking compliments for herself. I can remember my own salvation experience as a young boy.

I have an important decision to make, and my parents are pulling me one way and friends are pulling me another. The Lord God had worked wonders and miracles in freeing His people from slavery in Egypt; He also protected them and provided for them in the desert, while forgiving their sins and not holding their grumblings against them.

Jesus makes the claim that He is the ONLY way to salvation. It was inconceivable for the disciples to be separated from Him, after being with him, basically 24/7 for the three years. Obama and his progressives are attempting to turn real faith in the Lord Jesus into a “placebo” and drug. Now, if you do not know already, theologians, and just your everyday Christians like myself have debated what this “greater” means. Well, you’d first have to go to the store and buy it – and the finer the gift, the more it would cost you.

If someone was to tell you, “I am a policeman”. Anyone with common sense knows if you destroy the foundation of something it will not last very long.

But has anyone bothered to ask him how he feels about all this?

In Part 1 and 2, we established all under sin, its wages being death. America is fated to go down the tubes.

So how do we factor all of that into the equation?

The word of God shows that it is through baptism that one “gets into Christ”. “I stammered that I needed help, and have frequently done so since”, she said.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: No man cometh unto the Father, but by me”.

For some, faith is believing that God gives leukemia to a 7-year-old so she can sing in the heavenly choir. Some of the least loving people win Bible trivia. In spite of all this, the people continued to complain; they casually dismissed all the Lord had done for them, criticized Moses, and-in the height of ingratitude-spoke of their previous period of slavery in Egypt as preferable to their current situation. And most radical of all, we are to love our enemies. God will often allow difficulties to get our attention.

Faith Community began a simple Bible-reading program aimed at getting church members into God’s Word daily and started a Facebook page to share what they were learning. We do not see that there is both an urgent and dire need to quickly abandon these merciless slave drivers lest we reap their harvests of self-destruction. But because no one can rise and validate that claim for themselves, we can conclude that because no one is good, not one… verifies that we all need Jesus. We must also grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with each passing mile (II Pet. 3:18). From the time we are born to the time we die, we are repeat offenders when it comes to sin/wrongdoing. Jealousy, envy and bitterness will keep us from fulfilling God’s call. After she tossed and turned for some time between prayers, her husband said humorously, “Honey, I’m so proud of you!”
