CNN’s Murray: Bush’s ‘Cringeworthy’ ‘Stumble’ Is ‘Demeaning’ to Women, ‘Gift
Bush garnered much controversy on social media following his remark before the large SBC gathering on Tuesday that we was not sure 0 million was needed for women’s health issues. “Abortion should not be funded by the government”, he continued, apparently unaware that tax dollars don’t go to fund abortion.
Just a couple weeks after his damaging “work longer hours” gaffe, former Florida Governors Jeb Bush, who last campaigned for office in 2002 before this current campaign, committed yet another severe blunder, Breitbart News reported today.
“Now, he has got no problem giving billions of dollars away to super-wealthy and powerful corporations, but I guess women’s health just isn’t a priority for him“. “They provide critical services to all, but particularly low-income women who don’t have the access they need”, read the Bush statement. However, the significant damage caused by a few secretly recorded videos of medical staff employed at Planned Parenthood, discussing organs procurement from the aborted fetuses is still under contention.
Hillary Clinton put Republican presidential nominee Jeb Bush on blast after he brushed off women’s health issues.
Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton immediately denounced the comments as “absolutely, unequivocally wrong”.
“The argument against this is, well, women’s health issues are going to be – you’re attacking, it’s a war on women, and you’re attacking women’s health issues”, the Republican candidate said according to the Washington Post.
Planned Parenthood had an annual revenue of $1.3 billion.
Putting more patrol bases on the border where they can be stationed for days at a time, rather than being situated farther inland, would also help, he wrote, and suggested more investment in high-tech surveillance mechanisms like drones, advanced sensors and radar– some of which is already being used at the border. “Was her health not worth the money?”
Bush said doesn’t ascribe any bad motives to Clinton.
“With regards to women’s health funding broadly, I misspoke”, Bush said in a statement released minutes after he left the stage.
Whether he misspoke or didn’t, Bush’s comments about women’s health are certainly inconveniently timed.
The Democratic National Committee slammed Bush’s plan.
Not surprisingly to anyone slightly conscious, Jeb’s backtracking appears to be no more than an obvious acquiesce to the immediate barrage of criticism and backlash he received for his wide-sweeping statements. Now religious organizations may obtain a waiver from Obamacare’s contraception mandate by sending a form to the government, whereupon the insurance company administering the plan will be told to provide women with contraceptive services free of charge.
