Zayn Malik Is Proud of One Direction’s New Song “Drag Me Down”
Released without previous publicity on Friday, “Drag Me Down” marks One Direction’s first song since Zayn Malik left in March.

He even tweeted a launcher type for his personal account, saying, “Little bit of a shock!”
Whether or not the timing of One Direction’s new single’s release ties in with this or not remains unclear. “It’s called Drag Me Down and I hope you love it as much as we do”.
“It’s the first song from the new album that we’ve been working very, very, very hard on”.
Zayn Malik may have announced his new solo venture with RCA Records earlier this week, but that doesn’t mean everyone in Malik’s inner circle is happy about the change in management. Billboard gave cautious praise to 1D’s new single.
Music Times goes on to note that if this is One Direction without Malik, it’s not so bad after all.
The singer’s flattering tweet comes just days after Zayn appeared to take aim at One Direction when he announced his signing to rival label RCA records.
After this announcement, the loyal followers of the 22-year old started to rejoice and celebrate the obvious milestone in his career.
Several fans raised their eyebrows and have speculated that the surprise release of the 1D’s new track was intended to steal the spotlight from their former bandmate.
