Top Ten Most Wanted captured in Kentucky
U.S. Marshals and Lexington police have captured Benjamin Brewer, the Laurel County man recently indicted for a crash that killed six people in Tennessee.
The station said officers stated that he kicked the window out of a cruiser after he was taken into custody.
Brewer was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Lexington Police Department at the Hamburg Shopping Plaza in Lexington.
In June, police say Brewer was driving under the influence when his tractor trailer crashed into multiple vehicles on Interstate 75 in Ooltewah. Four of the victims, including two children ages 10 and 11, were in one auto.
But authorities in London, Ky., and Chattanooga have been unable to find Brewer and saidWednesday that they didn’t know where he was.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety administration says Brewer tested positive for meth six weeks before the crash.
Brewer is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center in Kentucky on a $500,000 bond.
