Fights force Texans and Redskins to stop joint practice session
According to the Redskins, last season, more than 60,000 fans visited the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center during three days of the Redskins’ joint practices with the New England Patriots.
Naturally, both sides had to be put in timeout after.
As is customary for Callahan’s younger linemen, Scherff stayed on the field after Thursday’s extended practice, which lasted roughly 2 hours 40 minutes, to work with his offensive line coach on skills that need improvement.
ESPN reporter Tania Ganguli tweeted that “Texans rookie RB Kenny Hilliard started the physical part of one of the fights”.
“I’ll just play wherever they tell me to play”, Scherff said.

“Kenny’s getting better”, O’Brien said, via the Chronicle.
If this is what training camp looks like, this season is going to be wild.

After the various undercards in this unscheduled and boxing match, the two teams began practicing on separate fields and weren’t interacting with each other. “They had a rough day yesterday so they wanted to try to set the tone, but that’s not going to happen here”.
One fight triggered when Johnson, a Clarksville, Maryland native and the Texans’ first-round pick in 2015, tackled Redskins fullback Jordan Campbell low and hard. After the first play (above), there was a scuffle after a late hit in the backfield.
The Redskins liked how their line held up over three days when it came to stopping four-man rushes.
“He either needs to get his weight up or get out of the way”, Hall said of Johnson. Nobody got hurt. Its over with.
“We’re out here practicing, and you’re doing this day in and day out”, Redskins linebacker Adam Hayward said.
“Sometimes, that stuff happens. You could see us coming together”. The Redskins didn’t go that far, but multiple players said the fight can act to bring players together. “We got into an argument, I took my helmet off and he hooked me with a right hook and we got to fighting”.
