Susan Sheridan, an original cast member of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy radio series, has died aged 68.
Sheridan provided the voice for Trillian in the original radio adaptation of the Douglas Adams novel in 1978.
It has been reported that she passed away at home.

Producer Dirk Maggs wrote: “Deeply saddened that our dear@susietwoshoe Susan Sheridan – Trillian in Hitchhiker’s – has died peacefully at home”.
She starred alongside John Hurt in the 1985 Disney film Black Cauldron, voiced a number of children’s characters including the title characters of the BBC’s Noddy’s Toyland Adventures and the 1990 TV series Moomin. Miss you’. As well as her coal work, she also appeared on stage, including a ground-breaking production of Howl’s Moving Castle, The Beggars Opera with Barbara Windsor and her one woman show, The Merry Wife of Wilton.
Her television work included BBC’s Macbeth with Corin Redgrave, Bless Me Father and a 2012 episode of Midsummer Murders. Aptly, she also worked as a voice coach for other actors.
Susan is survived by her husband, Max Brittain and their three daughters.
