Tyler The Creator’s Australian tour cancelled amid claims his music promotes
Now in a turn of stupid irony, Tyler has cancelled his own tour, effectively banning himself from Australia.
Today, the promoters responsible for the tour Frontier Touring have cancelled the upcoming dates.
The statement reads: “Frontier Touring regret to announce the cancellation of the Australian leg of Tyler The Creator’s Cherry Bomb World Tour which was scheduled to begin next month”. He added, “I love my fans there and hopefully I’ll be back soon”.
Women involved in Collective Shout, which state on their website they are a campaigning movement protesting the “objectification of women and sexualisation of girls in media, advertising and popular culture”, have previously been trolled on social media for speaking out against Tyler The Creator’s music. “Don’t do drugs”, Tyler, The Creator said in a statement. It turned out all of that wasn’t true and Tyler’s visa application was still being considered.
The rapper came under further fire recently when one member of that group Coralie Alison, faced some vile backlash from Tyler’s fans after the rapped singled her out on Twitter.
Collective Shout have not yet issued a response to the cancellation of the rapper’s tour.

In the same message, Frontier said it “sincerely apologises to all those affected by this cancellation”, and promised “existing ticketholders are entitled to a refund”.
