Cities: Skylines After Dark expansion will introduce game-changing day-night
The central feature to the new expansion is both the game’s day and night cycles, opening up a veritable can of worms that players can expect after nightfall. Though the core game was recently confirmed to make its console debut for Xbox One at an undetermined time, the expansion hasn’t been confirmed for console yet.
Paradox Interactive has announced After Dark, the first expansion for Cities: Skylines. Vast backdrops and maps provide players with countless ways to improve and expand their cities, building from humble beginnings up to handsome, cloud-hugging structures and unique architectural marvels.
Cities: Skylines invites you to create the city of your dreams in a sprawling landscape dominated by cloud hugging structures and jaw dropping architectural marvels. This expansion is delivered following a slew of free content updates output by the developers, including a European Buildings aesthetics update. For instance, leisure-focused commercial areas can now turn into thriving nightspots, while beachfront properties will fare better when the sun is up.
A price and release date weren’t confirmed for Cities: Skylines After Dark, but we’ll keep you guys posted.
Beach specialization: Commercial areas such as beach bars and restaurants, small marina and fishing tours on the shoreline can specialize in beach activities. Police Stations will now also visibly transport prisoners to prisons, and an all-new taxi industry will thrive as partrons leave bars and clubs at night – cabs will also hover around transit hotspots like cargo hubs and airports for an added touch of realism.
