NASA’s new tools to bring Mars closer to young explorers

Mars Trek was developed by NASA’s Lunar Mapping and Modeling Project, which provides mission planners, lunar scientists and the public with analysis and data visualization tools for our moon.

These results extend the discoveries made at Yellowknife Bay, providing a more complete picture of the region. The rover also monitors weather and the peculiar flow of winds inside the large basin of the Gale Crater. NASA extended the program for another two years, and the team hopes to file for another extension at the end of that term.

Some say that the object seems to resemble a crab-like monster from some type of science fiction.

And in a sample of stone, Curiosity found sulfur, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and carbon – all key ingredients necessary for life.
