Hope your lips are ready for luxury: Louboutin unveils a lipstick collection

Famed shoe designer turned beauty game changer Christian Louboutin is at it again.

The iconic red-bottomed heel designer is making his first foray into lipcare, and we literally can not wait to get our hands pouts on the shades in this new collection. In a news release Christian Louboutin said, “I imagined the scales of a mermaid’s tail, dressed with what could have been a vial filled with an elixir, an essence oozing strength and beauty”. And just like anything else you can buy from Louboutin, the collection is incredibly artistic, inspired by everything from Babylonian architecture to Middle Eastern antiquities, and just looking at them there’s a definite architectural vibe.

There are 20 pieces in the Silky Satin collection, which offers a medium-to-full-coverage lip color with a satin finish and hint of shine.

Soon you will be able to be be decked in Louboutins from your head to your toes. Besides good color, customers can wear the tubes around their necks; each cap is threaded with with a small black ribbon.

When they debut at Saks in September, each tube will retail for a staggering $90.
