Watch how this fisherman hooks a drone
The drone, operated by YouTube poster Tice Ledbetter, was shooting some aerial footage of the San Diego coastline.
‘If anything happened to that drone that man would have been liable for destruction of property’.
A fisherman in California really didn’t take kindly to being filmed by a drone operator last week.
In case you wondered this is what the drone was being used to create.
While it doesn’t seem like the drone received any permanent damage, you can see Ledbetter removing fishing wire from one of the rotors at the end of the video.
A fisherman taking in the sun, surf, and sea creatures at Pacific Beach in San Diego took some offense to a drone flying around overhead. Are drone pilots and regular people going to have to learn to co-exist or should the authorities step in and stop this crap before someone gets hurt? He turns around and decides to cast his reel and hook the drone.
Gizmodo reports the legality around Ledbetter’s actions are unclear as local law only describes unmanned gliding over San Diego’s piers as illegal.
