Spokane removes Rachel Dolezal from police commission – San Francisco
And when you get to the point where you have to label yourself as “other“.
I thought that the beauty of this whole egalitarian liberal movement was the freedom and openness to be whatever you want to be.
The coverage of Rachel Dolezal-the ex- president of a local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), who misrepresented herself as a black woman for almost a decade-has launched countless questions, jokes, memes, and think pieces in response.
“Maury” executive producer Paul Faulhaber tells TMZ, his team is now actively trying to book Rachel and her alleged parents. She also added that they had reviewed their actions with the lawyers.
Let’s state the obvious so we all can start on the same page. It’s a good thing that Rachel Dolezal was exposed. In addition, Dolezal said she was previously the victim of “documented hate crimes” when she lived in Idaho (no documentation has been found). When she was doing social justice work in Idaho, media outlets reported she was “transracial” or “biracial;” she never corrected the record.
That’s another issue for another day.
KXLY 4’s Alyssa Donovan asked Dolezal how she felt about the city’s decision to remove her from the Police Ombudsman Committee. Then, I heard about her time at Howard University, probably the most famous of the Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and how she felt left out, alone, marginalized and altogether unwanted at the school because she was white. Who cares what she identifies as?
This all makes ideal “trans” sense, of course. There is even a story on The Week comparing the differences between Rachel Dolezal and Caitlin Jenner. What she once though a compliment turned to nearly insult.
Joanie Potter watched a physical transformation from a distance, on Facebook.
We, as African-Americans, are black 24-7. Here is a woman that from most standards of the American eye appears Black on the outside, but happens to be White. Dolezal’s story has enabled many white Americans who couldn’t do it before to talk about race without losing their minds.
I have a White grandfather which seems to astound people every time I tell them that.
The discovery that she is biologically white has angered many people. Why the charade? As for how much of a payday Dolezal could reap, Hirsch says, “It could be in the six figures”.
“She’s clearly our birth daughter, and we’re clearly Caucasian – that’s just a fact”, Lawrence A. Dolezal said in an interview from his home in Montana on Friday.
