Rosie O’Donnell tweets after Trump insult

Real-estate magnate Donald Trump reamed Fox News moderators and associates during a lengthy Twitter rant early Friday morning, hours after the first Republican presidential debate. Kelly had perhaps the most contentious exchange of the night with Trump when she asked him about a slew of past offensive comments toward women. He was confronted on a number of questionable comments he has made previously, including calling women “fat pigs, dogs, slobs, disgusting animals.”

The New York real estate mogul did not back down from the words, instead pointing out that his response to Kelly – “Only Rosie O’Donnell”, he said after Kelly listed the terms – got the attention of the crowd inside Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena.

The day after the first Republican presidential debate of the 2016 election, the social media conversation turned to Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and her questions for the candidates.

Thursday’s debate easily outdrew Fox’s previous record of 11.8 million viewers during a debate from the 2012 race, the Wall Street Journal reported. The top-ten GOP candidates were selected to participate in the debate based on their rank in an average of the five most recent national political polls.

Carly Fiorina, the business executive who is the only woman running for the Republican nomination and who spoke to Red State on Friday, applauded Trump’s dumping. “I don’t have time for total political correctness”, Trump said of his blunt manner of speaking. But again, that’s me; we’ll have to see what GOP primary voters have to say.

“Probably the Trump stuff was the most bullying I ever experienced in my life, including as a child”, O’Donnell told People in 2014.

Peter Paige, creator and executive producer for the TV show The Fosters, also tweeted about Trump’s jab.

“I want to run as a Republican”.

Seriously? That’s it? I know you’re a billionaire, but if that’s what you call buying influence, you sir, have been wasting your money.

Noted: Donald Trump does not like surprises.

Oh, and he also made sure he ripped again into his former foe Rosie O’Donnell, while subtly threatening Kelly he could be just as vicious towards her as he’s usually to Rosie.
