NFL draft returning to Chicago in 2016
The Auditorium Theater in Chicago was the site this spring of the first NFL draft held outside New York since 1964.
According to the report, Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will have a news conference on Tuesday and are expected to announce the decision. Chicago’s Grant Park hosted some 200,000 visitors at “Draft Town”, a free admission fan festival.

It looks like the city of Chicago made a good impression on the NFL a few months ago and they are bringing the 2016 NFL Draft back to the Windy City.
The 2015 draft was a resounding success in Chicago.
In a recent interview with the Sun-Times, the mayor showed off a glowing letter of thanks from Goodell extolling how well he believed the draft event had gone and how appreciative he was that Chicago rolled out the red carpet.
While locked in for the 2016 Draft, the NFL will develop a selection process for determining locations of future Drafts.
