Iranian foreign minister to visit Moscow next week – Tass cites embassy
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has left for Lebanon on the first leg of the second round of his regional tours following a nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers.
An informed source at Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Tuesday confirmed reports that Zarif has postponed his scheduled visit to Turkey due to the overlapping of his schedule. A Turkish official attributed the postponement to a ‘scheduling change, ‘ without elaborating.
Zarif will also meet with Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, according to the source.
Zarif is expected to hold talks with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Sartaj Aziz, advisor to the prime minister on foreign affairs and national security.

Turkey and the United States are North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies that have agreed to cooperate on Syria.
But it changed its position after a deadly July 20 bombing, blamed on IS, that killed 32 people in the Turkish border town of Suruc.
Iran’s President Hassan Rohani last week called on Turkey to work closely together with Tehran against Islamic State militants in Syria and Iraq.
Turkey was once considered a key actor in the initiative during the presidency of George W. Bush, seen as a predominantly Muslim country with a working democracy.
