Phillies’ Franco hit in arm, leaves game
Yasmany Tomas, Welington Castillo and A.J. Pollock all homered, as the D-backs routed the Phillies 13-3 in front of 16,495 fans at Chase Field Monday night.

The Diamondbacks put up six runs in the sixth with Castillo driving in three with a triple and scoring on a single by Tomas.
Tyler Flowers added a solo shot to back Sale (10-7), who rebounded with a gem after allowing 14 earned runs and 18 hits in 10 1-3 innings while losing his previous two outings. Arizona left fielder David Peralta had three hits and two RBIs, and Tomas had two RBIs.Peralta’s infield single with the bases loaded after an intentional walk to first baseman Paul Goldschmidt in the sixth inning broke an 0-for-20 streak for hitters who batted after an intentional walk to Goldschmidt this season. He was hit on the right side of the head by a backswing on a popout by Phillies right fielder Domonic Brown and was removed in the eighth inning, although he said he was fine. I’m not sure if there is a good side here and really I’m not sure if there is any good bet here… He leads all major-league rookies in slugging (.490) and OPS (.828.). He will report to Philadelphia’s Triple-A affiliate, Lehigh Valley. The Diamondbacks hand the ball to Jeremy Hellickson for his first career start against the Phillies. That moved him into fifth place all-time in Diamondbacks history, ahead of current Washington Nationals manager Matt Williams. He’s been hit a little bit.
Also worth noting is that the Diamondbacks entered Tuesday play one game below.500.
Diamondbacks: Reliever Randall Delgado is expected to pitch in a rehab assignment on Wednesday as he works his way back from a sprained right ankle. He could be activated soon after…. He has never faced the Diamondbacks and will be making his 10th start of the season.
Phillies: RHP David Buchanan (2-6, 7.23 ERA) is the scheduled starter Tuesday.
