Radhe Maa claims to be ‘innocent’ in dowry harassment case against her

A case has been registered under section 498A of the Indian Penal Code against her and the police have summoned her for questioning.

Speaking to Zee News reporter Ashwini Pandey, the controversial godwoman said: “The complainant, Nikki Gupta is very poor”.

Sukhwinder Kaur, has been at the heart of a controversy after her objectionable images in red mini skirt and dancing on an old Bollywood number appeared in the public domain.

“Whoever becomes my devotee, God helps them”, she said. I am right in the eyes of god.

Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa, as she is referred to by her followers, was touring parts of Maharashtra over the weekend and landed in Mumbai on Sunday night. She said, “Radhe Maa lives a lavish lifestyle”. I am a mother.

Educated upto senior secondary level, she dropped out of school and got married at the age of 18 to a businessman, Mohan Singh, of Hoshiarpur and the couple has three children.

“Sachai chup nahi sakti banavat kay usulon say, khushbu aa nahii sakti kagaz kay phoolon sey (Truth cannot be kept hidden with false propaganda, as flowers made of papers cannot spread fragrance)”. Police had earlier issued summonses to six other accused in the case.

A complaint filed in the Kandivli Police station yesterday alleged that Radhe and two of her accomplices had fooled a farming family of seven in Gujarat by taking almost R1.5 crore from them to ensure that peace and prosperity reigned in their house.

“The six accused are supposed to come to the police station for recording their statements”, Pawar said.

According to police, the woman has accused the “god woman” of instigating her in-laws who have been her followers for many years, to demand dowry from her. The woman in her complaint said that her husband’s family tortured her on Radhe Maa advice and forced her to serve the “godwoman” and do chores for her and give her massages.
