Jose Mourinho Signs New Four-Year Contract as Chelsea Manager

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho signed a new four-year deal, the club announced.

The Portuguese head coach, who in 2014-2015 led the Blues to their first English Premier League title in five years, began his second stint at Stamford Bridge in June 2013, reports Efe. He holds a career record of 496-96-149 across all competitions.

The extension will keep Mourinho at Stamford Bridge until at least 2019, as the Special One seems to feel at home in west London.

Costa joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid for 32 million pounds ($49.54 million) last season but the striker missed large parts of the campaign with a persistent hamstring problem.

“I’m ready for a fight and motivated to start well”, he said.

I think there are better forwards than Costa in the Premier League, Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez to name two.

While the Community Shield will be an afterthought by the time the major prizes are handed out in May, Terry is such a driven character that the sight of Arsenal’s players lifting the silverware has added fuel to his competitive fire.
