Windows 10 installed on 14m devices since launch

Microsoft released a statement in response saying, “We designed Windows 10 to provide a simple upgrade experience for users and a cohesive experience following the upgrade”.

Windows 10 is finally out, and all reviews and indications are making it seem like the best OS on the market yet.

In an open letter to Microsoft CEO Nadella, Mozilla CEO accuses Microsoft of Windows 10 Browser Defaults as the company has made Edge the default browser in its latest operating system. While I wasn’t one of the people who couldn’t stand Windows 8, I do think that the new start menu is a huge improvement. He noted that not everyone who reserved an upgrade has gotten it yet, but says that people who reserved their copy should be getting it within a few weeks.

The change, however, is also on its way to the future of the world of mobile phones and other Microsoft owned services such as the Windows 10 Mobile OS and the XBOX Console. “We will have more to share on various editions of Windows 10 prior to its availability”.

However, Microsoft still wanted to give Media Center users a way to access the software’s most used functionality, DVD playback, in Windows 10.

A feature called Continuum means that the software automatically detects whether there is a keyboard attached to the device and selects the most appropriate mode. With Windows 10, one of these issues include having to go through and set the default app for different programs and with browsers the new move makes it hard for installers to set themselves as the default. With Windows 10, most Windows 7 and Windows 8 users will get a Windows 10 upgrade free of charge, and may reserve access to the upgrade from their devices. So, if a user running Windows 7 has specified that Google Chrome is their default browser, they will find when they upgrade to Windows 10 that Microsoft Edge is now the default.
