Annabeth Gish Returns To “The X-Files” As Agent Reyes!

Actor Annabeth Gish will reprise her role as Monica Reyes in the upcoming X-Files revival event.

A divisive character from The X-Files past is coming on board the revival. Alongside with Robert Patrick’s Agent John Doggett, the two characters brought the show in a new direction after David Duchovny’s contract dispute with Fox led to infrequent appearances for Fox Mulder during seasons eight and nine. She first recurred in season eight before being promoted to series regular in the ninth and final season.

“I wanna do as many different roles that I can, and not just one thing”, Patrick said.

Another old friend is set to drop by The X-Files. After appearing on the long running sci-fi series, Gish has been seen in other notable small-screen performances on shows like The Bridge, Sons of Anarchy and Pretty Little Liars. The show, which earned 16 Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and a Peabody Award, follows Federal Bureau of Investigation special agents Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Mulder (David Duchovny) as they investigate unexplained cases – “X-Files” – for which the only answers involve paranormal phenomena. It was also recently confirmed that the computer hacker group known as The Lone Gunmen, Dean Haglund (Ringo Langly), Tom Braidwood (Frohike) and Bruce Harwood (Byers) will be back, along with Sheila Larken as Dana Scully’s mother, Margaret Scully.
