Blue Bell Ice Cream trucks back on the road
Cheers can be heard on the video as the truck drives off.
The Texas production facilities, however, are still closed.
The Alabama Department of Health gave the company the OK last Wednesday to resume production at the plant, where Blue Bell conducted trial runs last month. While the destination of these trucks hauling precious cargo has not been revealed as of this moment, it would be safe to bet that Blue Bell Ice Cream will be on store shelves shortly.
A Blue Bell Creameries employee confirmed to Breitbart Texas that trucks filled with ice cream were on the road.
Blue Bell underwent an extensive cleaning and decontamination process at its two Texas plants and its plants in Alabama and Oklahoma after listeria contamination was blamed for illnesses in four states, including three deaths in Kansas.
On April 20, Blue Bell announced it was voluntarily recalling all of its products on the market.
This is good news for ice cream lovers all around the country.
A post on the company’s Facebook page on August 5 said, “We’re busy at our Sylacauga, AL, facility crankin’ out ice cream and building inventory”.
In May, the company said it would have to lay off or furlough hundreds of workers at its idled plants.
