Ducks sign right win Jakob Silfverberg to four-year contract, keep restricted

He stepped into the national spotlight last year and became known for his excellent sniper shot during the shootouts and now he is staying in Anaheim through the 2018-19 NHL season.

Silfverberg was drafted by Ottawa in the second round in 2009 and has recorded 81 points in 181 games with Anaheim and Ottawa. He was a restricted free agent before signing this new deal, meaning the Ducks would have had the right to match any other team’s contract offer. “I ended up signing pretty late”.
