Awkward situation for Manning’s backup, Broncos

The defense seems to be adopting to coordinator Wade Phillips 3-4 scheme which emphasizes man coverage while turning loose pass rushers.

On Wednesday, Manning acknowledged that people have been predicting his football demise for years, particularly after his 2011 neck surgery which sidelined him for the year.
