Blue Bell: Trucks on the road again
A Blue Bell Creameries employee confirmed to Breitbart Texas that trucks filled with ice cream were on the road.
In another tweet Tuesday, the company said they’ll soon announce which stores will carry the products.
The company tweeted a video of one of their trucks departing from one of their facilities.
In July, Blue Bell announced Sid Bass, who is worth an estimated $1.7 billion, according to Forbes, had become a partner in an effort to save the company.
Blue Bell didn’t reveal where the truck was headed or what it contained, but a Alabama health department official told our sister station WFAA-TV the only flavors they tested were Homemade Vanilla and Dutch Chocolate.
Blue Bell didn’t immediately return requests for comment Tuesday. The voluntary agreement calls for a trial production period before ice cream is distributed to consumers. The plant in Alabama was passed by the Alabama Department of Public Health for safety, and allowed to go into production again. That’s after some of its products were found to be contaminated with listeria. The recalls grew to the point of all Blue Bell products being recalled and taken off the shelves in stores.
“Our Broken Arrow facility is making good progress, but we do not have a firm date for when it will begin producing ice cream”.
