Peyton Manning accepts Tom Brady’s apology for email leak
The NFLPA filed a lawsuit against the NFL on July 30 seeking to have a judge overturn the four-game suspension administered to Brady as part of his alleged involvement in the Deflategate scandal.
Despite the emergence of Tom Brady’s controversial emails that contained statements dissing Peyton Manning, the Denver Broncos quarterback still maintains a friendly relationship with the New England Patriots quarterback.
“Thanks popa. I’ve got another 7 or 8 years”.
Brady extended an apology to Manning as soon as the emails went public. Brady responded by writing that the Patriots were “hard working grinders”.
Manning said on Wednesday that he wasn’t offended by the email at all and that Brady’s insult was “amateur hour” compared to some of the other things Manning has heard in his life.
He may have been right in his assessment of the two career paths and how much time is left in each of them, but there’s a respect between the two men that can’t be crossed in this way.
“Somebody said that I was roasted – I’ve been roasted before that is not a roast”, said Manning.
Besides, Manning said the barbs were rather innocuous: “Someone said I was roasted”.
“Someone said I was roasted”.
KUSA-Peyton Manning delivered a message to his good friend, colleague and career-long nemesis Tom Brady: No big whip. The fact that his emails got revealed doesnt make a lot of sense to me. “No harm, no foul”.
On the field, Brady and Manning meet for the 17th time November 29 in Denver.
Manning is running a new offense that mixes his best attributes with coach Gary Kubiaks zone-blocking scheme. Instead of the shotgun, Manning has mostly been under center or in the shotgun with a running back behind him for the play-action passes. Our standards are really lowered around here..
“I don’t try to be different, I try to draw what I see”.
Manning said there wasn’t anything he cut out of his diet completely, at least not “anything that I love”.
