Hollywood Vampires Feat. Alice Cooper, Joe Perry And Johnny Depp Announce Two
Johnny Depp is one part of the supergroup Hollywood Vampires and Billboard is reporting that the group is announcing dates for a few select performances.
Additionally, on September 24, the band will make their only global appearance at Brazil’s Rock In Rio. Cooper guitarist Tommy Henriksen will also be playing at the show as will bassist Bruce Witkin, who played with Depp in a band called the Kids.
The band on Wednesday announced shows scheduled for September 16 and 17 at The Roxy in West Hollywood, California. “Among the stars Copper would run into at the watering hole were Lennon, Nilsson, Hendrix, The Who’s Keith Moon, The Doors” Jim Morrison, The Monkees’ Mickey Dolenz, and Elton John lyricist Bernie Taupin. Some of those receiving hearing aids will then get to join Johnny Depp and the Hollywood Vampires at the concert where they will hear music for the first time. An environment for great artists to hang, laugh and play together. The group will perform on the Sunset Strip this September, just after releasing their album. The band’s first-ever album finds the two joined by JOE PERRY, an old friend of both of them, and producer BOB EZRIN.
Proceeds from the album will benefit MusiCares, which provides financial and personal assistance to musicians.
Starkey Hearing Foundation uses hearing as a vehicle to reflect caring and change lives around the world. Several of the people fitted with the devices will be invited to attend the Hollywood Vampires’ Rock in Rio gig. Started as the philanthropic effort of Starkey Hearing Technologies, Starkey Hearing Foundation was founded by William F. Austin in 1984.
