Injured hand shelves ‘Tonight’ show

Jimmy Fallon is recovering after a “minor” injury he sustained last night. Other reports, including Variety, said the incident led to a hospital visit and minor surgery.

Friday’s taping of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” was cancelled due to the circumstances regarding the injury.

Fallon also tweeted a photo of his bandaged hand and included the hashtags #drugged and #blessed.

The Tonight Show’s Twitter account confirmed that Fallon had been injured and that Friday’s taping had been cancelled. “He’s totally fine but we’ll be airing a repeat”, the tweet said.

“He is expected to make a full recovery”, the statement added. However, the publication claimed that he suffered a major injury and was brought to the intensive care unit of a nearby hospital after a night out.

Fallon left the program for the film industry starring in hits such as Taxi and Fever pitch which lead him back to his return to television hosting. It is unlikely they will be on the same episode.
