McDonald’s quietly changes its burger sizing
We reached out to McDonald’s for comment on the weight of the new patties when cooked.
The classic hamburger now weighs 4.25 ounces before cooking.
However by the time the burger hits your mouth, the cooked down version is 2.8 ounces.
Fast food giant McDonald’s has quietly made a change to one its most popular items: the Quarter Pounder. CNBC reports that management will have to make that call.
The newly resized burger also follows the public company’s May announcement of a “reset” following slumping sales.
“These little things add up to big differences for our customers”, McDonald’s CEO Steve Easterbrook said at conference in May in New York, according to Bloomberg.
McDonald’s recently announced that it may be offering all-day breakfast in the US in October.
