Sunderland Target Adnan Januzaj Not For Sale Says Louis van Gaal
Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj is nearing a Sunderland loan move according to the Sunderland Echo.
Januzaj broke into the senior team at Old Trafford during former manager David Moyes’ tumultuous reign and made an impression in an otherwise bleak period for Manchester United.
The Turkish giants have already done considerable business with Louis van Gaal’s side so far this season, bringing in both Nani and Robin van Persie as the Dutch coach looks to offload the unwanted deadwood from the squad.
While he did catch the eye of his manager with a goal against Barcelona during pre-season, there has been speculation that Van Gaal might allow him to move out on loan to aid his development.
However, Van Gaal has revealed that Januzaj is still a part of his plans for the campaign.
The Belgian’s undoubted talent was there for all to see during his blistering debut season and, at 20-years-old, he still has plenty of time to make himself a success at United.
“All the players are”.
“Pedro has told me he wants to go”, said Fernandez.
“He is still not for sale”.
After finishing in fourth-place last season, which secured qualification to the Champions League, United have taken a very active approach in the transfer market by acquiring the likes of Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Matteo Darmian, with Barcelona’s Pedro also reportedly close to joining, as per talkSPORT.
