COAS confirms death sentences of 7 terrorists
Military courts have awarded death sentence to seven terrorists involved in Army Public School Peshawar and in Safoora terrorist incident in Karachi. Army chief Gen. Raheel Sharif confirmed the sentences, but it was unclear when they would be carried out.
As many as seven terrorists involved in attacks on the Army Public School in Peshawar and Safoora Chowrangi attacks were awarded death sentences by a military court on Thursday.
ISPR said convicts were given fair trails by following all legal formalities and offering/providing them with legal aid and defence counsels. All those convicted can file review petitions in Supreme Court of Pakistan, it further said. 6 out of the 7 terrorists sentenced to death were involved in APS Peshawar attack while 1 was involved in Safura carnage. He was tried on 3 charges and awarded death sentence.

The army also announced it would execute another man for carrying out an attack on soldiers in the city of Karachi in March that killed three. He was tried on 4 charges and awarded death sentence.
Six of the suspects in the school attack case were awarded death sentences and one awarded life imprisonment.

He was found involved in using Improvised Explosive Devices at the residence of two Civilians and transporting arms and ammunition. Islamabad and Kabul have long accused each other of sheltering militants involved in cross-border attacks. He was tried on 2 charges and awarded death sentence.
