Man United consider £50m contract offer to lure Bayern Munich forward
Manchester United continue to be interested in Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller and would be willing to double his salary at Old Trafford.
Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze is more like a Brazilian than a German in the way he needs pampering, according to a former club legend.
Belgium worldwide De Bruyne was in sparkling form last season as Wolfsburg finished second behind Bayern, and has been the focus of much transfer speculation during the current window.
However, Rummenigge has revealed that there is “no price” which could tempt Bayern to do business.
“Mario will stay. Thomas [Muller] will stay”.
Manchester United made a move for Muller last summer but it was rejected by the German club.
Louis van Gaal wants to bring in a world class name in that position after losing key figures like Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao earlier this summer. “He is very stubborn in those things [transfers]”, Rummenigge said. With the side back in the Champions League, if the club want to be lifting any silverware at the end of the campaign, they will surely need to add at least one more striker.
“I don’t know how his relationship with Pep Guardiola is, but Gotze looks a bit like a Brazilian to me”.
