Dying Light: The Following expansion officially revealed
“I don’t think so”, said Binkowski when asked about considering turning The Following into a sequel. “We knew that we’d made a good game”.
Smektala also suggested that Techland would “love” to go back to Dead Island and salvage what they could from the ailing IP but did not know if the game even had a developer working on it now. We are in the 10 best-selling games in the US right now for the first half of the year, so tremendous success.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Techland have revealed the trailer for Dying Light: The Following – a massive expansion to Dying Light and the untold chapter of Kyle Crane’s story.
Being able to drive a buggy is arguably the most exciting addition to the game, and Techland has shown this new feature off in the trailer.
“Gamescom 2015 was our first chance to let people play “Dying Light: The Following” so I was a bit nervous”, says producer Tymon Smektała. Overall, Techland called the dirt buggie Dying Light’s “deadliest weapon yet”. “If you want to maximise it then it’s about 20 hours, maybe even more”, Smektala says. Season Pass owners will get the expansion for free. Even when we had level designers that weren’t tied to the project, they wanted to create a quest or mission or anything that could be in the expansion pack.
A release date has yet to be confirmed but we can tell you that The Following will be available to download as standalone DLC when it is eventually launched.
