Hey Look! A Decent RollerCoaster Tycoon Game has Just Launched on iOS
Rollercoaster Tycoon 4 came out last year and was completely slammed due to its horrendous microtransaction system.
However, the series on mobile has taken a step back in order to take two steps forward by releasing the older Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 on iOS. It comes with 18 of the scenarios from the original game, and can be yours for the one time purchase of $4.99 for iOS 7 or later. Instead, it acts like a true video game should and gives you all the features you’d want without having to pay more for the privilege.
The game’s interface has been updated for this mobile version, with things like drop-down menus providing all of the necessary information to keep one’s park running smoothly, but without covering too much of the screen at once. Of course, many games employ the same gameplay style, but it seems Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 does the worst job at it.
You can design your amusement park using five themes that are available: Generic, Spooky, Western, Adventure, and Sci-fi.
Let your imagination run free in Sandbox mode.
Watch your guests react to your park as you try to make them happy. That’s the kind of excitement roller coasters are supposed to evoke, and that’s the thrill you would expect from a game like RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, which has recently arrived on the App Store.
Meanwhile, the original developer of these games, Frontier, has decided to port the third game in the series, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, to iOS devices. The Coaster Cam is in full effect, showing you every heart-pounding second of the rides you build and maintain.
