Samsung Relying on “Unpacked” Hype
On Thursday, the electronics makers will host its second Unpacked event of 2015 to introduce its latest phablets, the oversized hybrids of a tablets and smartphone.
If you take a look at the gallery down below, you’ll notice a ton of quality Galaxy Note 5 images which go hand-in-hand with what we’ve seen thus far. There is one catch though – the Note 5 isn’t coming to the UK straight away. The digital cameras ought to be 16-megapixel and 5-megapixel shooters in the spinal tissues and front side respectively. Separately, a report claimed that the sales of its Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will begin on August 21 and not August 14, which is more in line with the company’s usual gap between launches and market availability.
Update: Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Unpacked Youtube live stream is now up. It is powered by an octa-core Samsung Exynos 5430 processor instead of the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor used in the China variant.
The French website of the tech firm allegedly published a home page for the bigger S6 Edge.
The company will unveil the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 at the event.
Since the two new devices are expected to be based on the existing Galaxy S6 models, these perceived drawbacks (as well as a battery that isn’t removable) aren’t likely to change on the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge+.
In addition to giving the Note a more premium design, Samsung has also made some improvements to the S Pen.
As for the S6 Edge Plus, it too has a 5.7 inch display screen. Like its predecessor, the S6 Edge+ does offer wireless charging.
As a part of the Galaxy Note series, one of the talking points is obviously the S Pen stylus. The 5MP camera and 3000 mAh battery complete it. Its camera also features flash, optical image stabilization, face detection, autofocus, touch to focus, geo-tagging, exposure compensation, ISO control, white balance presets, burst mode, high dynamic range mode, panorama and effects, PhoneArena has learned.
