Samsung Pay: Samsung launches mobile payment service that works at almost all
South Korea’s top tech giant Samsung Electronics Co. showcased two new phablets on Thursday in the United States, with one being the larger edition of the Galaxy S6 Edge that curves on both sides, in its latest bid to revitalize its mobile business. Up front, the company has bumped up the selfie camera from 3.7-megapixels on the Galaxy Note 4 to 5-megapixels on the Galaxy Note 5. They are comparable to Apple’s 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus, the larger of the two new iPhones. The design makes the S6 Edge and S6 Edge+ look more fashionable than its plainer sibling, the S6.
But which is the nicest in terms of actual design? When it does come, you should be on a Wi-Fi connection before beginning the updating process, and make sure your battery is charged to at least 50% before downloading and installing the update. Samsung has changed up some features with the S Pen as well like Screen off memo, which will allow you to pull out the S Pen with the screen off and write on a black slate, and Scroll Capture which will piece together captures of a page for a longer note. What do you think about this accessory? The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ will be available from purchase alongside the Note 5 starting August 21, preorders for the devices have already begun. The Galaxy Note 5 comes with a live-streaming feature built into the phablet’s camera app. You can hit the live streaming button to start broadcasting your video directly on your YouTube channel. T-Mobile is throwing in a year of Netflix with both phones, while Sprint is giving away a low-end Samsung tablet with a two-year contract. It has a Super AMOLED screen with Quad HD display resolution. The sensor size, optics, how good the focus systems are and the software on board will all contribute to the the overall user experience.
Battery lives on each device should see you through a full day’s use with relative ease, too.
It is compatible with all of the Galaxy S6 smartphones and the Galaxy Note. In addition, there is a Mali-T760MP8 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM.
The Motorola Moto X Style has a 1.8GHz hexa-core Qualcomm chipset under its hood, supported by 3GB of RAM.
The Galaxy S6 Edge+ will be made available in 32GB and 64GB storage versions only, compared with the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB options offered by Apple.
The Samsung keyboard accessory clips on to the front of the device, nestled at the bottom like a typical Blackberry phone. The device will come in 32/64/128 storage configurations, but unfortunately the Galaxy Note 5 does not include Micro SD expansion or the ability to swap out the 3,000 mAh battery inside.
One of the major talking points on the Galaxy Note 5 is the improved S Pen stylus. A few versions of the Samsung Galaxy Gear A smartwatch will also offer 2G cellular connectivity.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus is the slimmest and lightest of these three handsets, whilst also offering the coolest design thanks to its dual-edge display.
Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge, first launched in April, was initially a hit with consumers, but the company wasn’t able to fully capitalize on the device’s popularity due to a misreading of market demand and difficulties in ramping up production of curved screens.
