Microsoft Corporation And Seagate Announce 2TB External Hard Drive For Xbox
The Xbox One OS, confirmed by The Verge, also includes a host OS, which is a heavily modified Hyper-V hypervisor and two partitions. That’s why Seagate came up with its new 2TB Game Drive for Xbox, which works with both the Xboxes One and 360. There’s a catch, and sadly it sounds like you will need to be in the Xbox Preview Program to benefit right now with Xbox One backwards compatibility. Users of these devices will also be able to set recording schedules from their devices when on the move. This option is all about choice, but even so, it has seemed like a missed opportunity for Microsoft to offer something that matched the Xbox One in branding. The console will allow users to record over-the-air shows directly to their Xbox One, with the only limitation being the amount of hard drive space available.
Starting in November 2015, the Xbox One is getting updated with Microsoft’s newest operating system: Windows 10.
At the conference, Microsoft gave details for the Xbox One DVR feature.
Microsoft says that this Holiday season Xbox One has the biggest game line-up in history leading into 2016.
Backwards compatibility means that more Xbox 360 games will be playable on the Xbox One in the future, which is a great feature for the longtime Xbox 360 gamers to upgrade.
Users can also download shows to Windows 10 phones, PCs or tablets so that they can watch them when offline.
Finally, the Xbox One is getting a dedicated Chatpad. Gamers can pre-order the bundles now, which will launch on September 15 for $349 (500GB) or $399 (1TB).
