Jenna Bush Hager, husband welcome another little girl to the family

(Although it seems like an on-trend choice, the baby’s name actually has family roots: Her great-grandfather, former president George H.W. Bush, went by the nickname “Poppy” while he was growing up.).

Savannah Guthrie spoke to the new mom, who said they FaceTimed with the former president and “he got very emotional”.

Poppy Louise Hager was born at at 9:12 a.m. Thursday.

Poppy’s middle name is in honor of Jenna and Henry’s grandmothers’ middle names, Louise and Lewis. The couple welcomed another daughter; Poppy Louise Hager. This is her second daughter with husband Henry Hager. This is Jenna and husband Henry Hager’s second child. She joins her big sister Mila who is 2-years-old.

“She was brilliant because once she laughed at him, there was this instant connection”, she said.

Hager, 33, announced she was expecting baby #2 in April on the “Today” show, where she serves as a correspondent.

“We’re calling in just to give her lots of love, and tell her we can’t wait to see that new baby”, Laura said on the phone.
